Social Distancing/Quarantine/Lockdown/Stay-at-home Day 21
Many of us have the same idea on our minds: How do we stay motivated without our usual structure? It can be much easier to work in cooking, eating, working out, cleaning, chores, and so on when we have a consistent work schedule. When we have to manage our time, we find ways to fit everything in. Recently, the President extended the social distancing guidelines to April 30th. This means we are looking at another month of avoiding public spaces, large gatherings, working from home, being without work, budgeting, finding activities for our kids, going without seeing friends and family, and more.
I ask myself: Where do I want to be with my goals after lockdown? This question helps me put my time usage into perspective. Although we do not know when the stay-at-home orders will be lifted, I do know that I do not want to find that I am starting over with my goals when the time comes.
This mentality helps me stretch, eat healthily, and work on projects regularly during lockdown. I may not work on every goal everyday, but as long as I can look back on each week with the sense that I am closer to achieving each goal, I can feel accomplished.
