Garden Reflections: Purple Queen
As I continue the task of replanting the purple queen, I begin to think of the importance of my choices. There is a responsibility we take on when choosing a new home for another living creature. In this case, I try to honor that responsibility by working hard to concentrate and consider what will be best for each piece or plant. Despite having seen lots of this plant, I am still learning from it, seeing things I haven’t seen before. This reminds me to stay sharp. One by one, I put over a hundred different pieces into seven different planters. In just a few weeks time I will have that much more purple plants and pink flowers growing in my garden. As I finish placing the last of varying pieces into their new homes, I can’t help but think: It would have been a waste to leave them to rot away.
