Transitioning into September

Updated: Oct 5, 2019

Starting another school year, establishing new routines, and preparing for storms are all a part of the transition of the seasons. Going from summer to autumn can be difficult, and with the storms in recent years, it can be scary. The best way to avoid being caught off guard is to prepare. I have been helping people prepare for a few years now, and there is one thing that I consistently share with those close to me: It is important to have an emergency plan and equipment checklist. How many times does someone not realize they used those CC batteries for the flashlight around Christmas time and never thought about replacing them until their power goes out during the storm season? Avoid being caught off guard and double check your checklist. With maintenance and prep before the storm, you will likely have less to do during and after.
